Healthcode has launched the Healthcode Academy which provides free online tutorials to enable independent practitioners to make the most of the tools and features available on the company’s innovative software.
As leading experts in online technology for the private health sector, Healthcode are constantly developing their products and services to help independent practices automate time-consuming admin processes and operate more efficiently. At the same time, the company wanted to ensure that customers are fully aware of the capabilities of Healthcode software so they can reap the benefits and get the best return on their investment. This was the inspiration behind the Healthcode Academy which sees Product Specialists deliver personalised one-to-one training in ePractice and The PPR (The Private Practice Register).
The Academy provides a modular training programme so customers can build up their skills and confidence with each session. Initially there are three modules covering electronic billing and collections in ePractice and four modules focusing on The PPR, Healthcode’s online directory of practitioners. Each free tutorial will use the customer’s own Healthcode account to make it as familiar and relevant as possible, enabling customers to test their understanding and practise what they have learnt in a real-world situation, from creating an electronic bill to maintaining their PPR profile.
These personalised tutorials last between 30 minutes and one hour and are available to anyone with a Healthcode user ID and password. Customers can register online where they will be able to book a convenient slot. They will receive a certificate and a useful training manual on completion of each module.
Healthcode’s Managing Director, Peter Connor, said: “It’s exciting for tech companies to develop solutions that push the boundaries but new technology can be daunting and the real test is whether it helps improve people’s lives. The idea of the Academy is to ensure that Healthcode customers have the support they need to familiarise themselves with the capabilities of the system and make the most of its tools and features in their own practice.”
Ahmed Khan, Service Delivery Manager ePractice, is overseeing the launch of the Academy. He said: “I am proud to lead this exciting project which I am sure will transform the way that customers use their Healthcode accounts. By giving them the chance to explore ePractice and The PPR, with the support of our Product Specialists, customers will quickly build their understanding, skills and confidence.”
