Our story
Once upon a time – over 20 years ago, long before Bitcoin, TikTok and robotic surgeons were even a twinkle in the universe – we took our first baby steps into the world of encrypted online solutions for the private healthcare sector. A forward-thinking family unit – made up of key players in the sector – had a lightbulb moment. And from these ideas about a better way to connect healthcare businesses, the foundations of Healthcode were laid.
Now those baby steps have become giant leaps for the industry. Continually developing, responding and breaking new ground. Pioneering new ways to improve efficiency and banish ineffective admin processes. All in the interest of making the lives of those using our solutions easier. Our story doesn’t stop here either. Who are we?
Romana Abdin
Our first independent chair and a former barrister with previous experience of leadership roles in the health and finance sectors.
Peter Connor
Managing Director of Healthcode and holds the position of Executive Director. Bringing his insight from across the industry he's driven new and revolutionary developments with his unrivalled experience and knowledge of IT solutions for the private healthcare sector.
Pete Dowling-Lynch
Experienced in building structured processes and cost-conscious behaviours that deliver on ambitious fiscal targets and optimise value.
Ali Hasan
Experienced in operational, executive and non-executive roles across insurance and other payors, health technology, health systems, providers, life sciences and medical devices.
Doug Wright
Dual qualified medical and business professional with a track record of designing, implementing and delivering innovative solutions to meet healthcare needs.
Matthew Vardy
Board level finance professional with experience in the health insurance industry, forging and strengthening key strategic partnerships and directing large scale projects and acquisitions.
Caroline Smith
Extensive experience in various healthcare services, including outsourced services, both regulated and unregulated, alongside the pharmaceutical industry and direct to the NHS.

We've delivered systems to thousands of practitioners and businesses to process around £3.3bn worth of medical invoices annually.
