Navigating the future of private healthcare provision

After two years of online events, Laing Buisson’s Private Healthcare Summit on Wednesday 16th March was a welcome chance for the industry representatives to catch up in person and discuss independent healthcare’s response to post-pandemic challenges and opportunities.

Healthcode’s Fiona Booth gave delegates an overview of the latest hospital invoicing activity which shows the sector’s continued recovery following the immediate shock of 2020. She also chaired a panel discussion on the corporate health insurance business featuring BUPA, Howden Employee Benefits and Wellbeing, Siemens and WPA.

She commented: “We know that companies are increasingly looking for ways to attract and retain talented staff, especially offering benefits that address health and wellbeing. This is a potentially significant growth market for independent health insurers and providers, so it was really useful to exchange ideas about the future shape of corporate healthcare.”
