The job

All-encompassing marketing role focusing on PR, events and sponsorships, working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to manage multi-channel marketing and communication campaigns which are engaging, educating, raise awareness and generate revenue in line with the business objectives.

Key accountabilities

  • Support and deliver marketing campaigns including budget and monthly performance analysis across all areas of ownership aligning with the brand and company communications strategy
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager with campaign delivery, deadlines, budgets and strategic marketing planning
  • Work with agencies, contractors and the wider business stakeholders to generate blogs, news articles, award submissions etc which target key media titles, whilst staying up to date with daily news, online sources and competitor activity to identify hot topics
  • Support with the management of content and updates on our website
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager with campaign delivery, deadlines, budgets and strategic marketing planning
  • Responsible for the smooth running of the workstreams for campaigns within this area such as accurate setting of copy design online, ensuring all campaigns are aligned and integrated across channels, whilst continuously looking to develop and trial new ideas to leverage our brand, PR and marketing opportunities
  • Lead the delivery/planning of external events in a timely fashion, professionally and within budget
  • Assist in building, managing and strengthening the Healthcode brand by interpreting brand guidelines to write engaging copy and give creative direction
  • Identify, manage and deliver opportunities with our sponsors to leverage our position within the sector in line with our core objectives
  • Assist and support with any additional marketing activities outside of PR responsibilities

Person specifications

Qualifications and experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience working within the private healthcare sector would be beneficial
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a marketing role, preferably in public relations or events
  • Ability to support, create and develop news and features for multi-layered campaigns and events
  • Experience with pitching features to journalists across a broad range of media and securing press coverage
  • Creative writing, media relations and strategic thinking
  • A good understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Understanding and experience using software packages competently, such as Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Mailchimp, Analytics, WordPress, Salesforce etc

Professional and personal skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, good planning skills, high level of attention to detail and good copywriting skills to support in a fast-paced team
  • Hands-on, willingness to get involved in multiple tasks as required
  • Good numeracy skills to analyse ROI
  • Able to work on own initiative and multi-task as well as ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines (desirable)
  • Creative with ability to understand and interpret brand guidelines
  • Ability to work with all level of stakeholders including managing third-party suppliers
  • Good project management skills
  • Good team player
