ePractice booker is a secure on-line appointment booking service enabling patient booking data to be exchanged between Specialists, their Medical Secretaries and Private Hospitals.

The system requests a slot for a particular provider resource and if the provider grants the request it is automatically 'booked' for the Specialist. Both Provider and Specialist systems can see the booking and that slot becomes unavailable for others. The system will automatically generate clinic and theatre lists as well as relevant patient letters.

This Healthcode service incorporates a number of unique features including the automatic generation of a Pre-Authorisation request to the Patient's insurer at time of booking and message exchange between the specialist's and hospital's appointment systems. Messages are coded to NHS National Programme standards and will therefore allow future data exchanges with both public and private scheduler systems.

These features help to improve the administrative support for Specialists an better utilisation of Hospital resources as well as further improving the patient's service and experience.
